Rörstrand Keramik – Svensk Porslinsdesign
Rörstrand Keramikfabrik, founded in 1726 in Stockholm, was one of Europe's oldest and most important porcelain manufacturers. During the 20th century, the factory became known for its high-quality design and collaborations with prominent designers such as Gunnar Nylund, Carl-Harry Stålhane, Hertha Bengtson and Marianne Westman. Nylund and Stålhane developed elegant stoneware, while Bengson created the classic Blå Eld tableware and Westman designed the popular Mon Amie. Production was moved to Finland in 2005, but Rörstrand lives on as a brand and through its iconic ceramic works.
