Chribska Glassworks, also known as Chribská, was a historic glassworks founded in the 15th century in Bohemia, in today's Czech Republic. It is one of Europe's oldest operating glassworks and became particularly known in the 20th century for its colorful and artistic glass production, often in collaboration with skilled designers.
Chribska designs are characterized by organic shapes, vibrant colours and fluid lines. Under the guidance of designers such as Josef Hospodka, iconic vases and bowls were created in heavy, hand-blown glass with swirling color effects. These objects became the hallmark of Chribska's artistic style and are highly sought after today.
Chribska Glassworks has left a strong mark on European glass art and represents the Bohemian design tradition at its most colorful and creative.
