Kjell Torgny Knekta (1941-2014) was a Swedish ceramicist and artist. He worked in the municipality of Gällivare from 1960 to 1997 and then on Gotland until his death. His ceramics were characterized by sculptural forms with a round and organic aesthetic, often inspired by nature.
Among his best-known works are the playful 'potato pigs', the 'head feet' and various egg cups. He also created sculptures of birds and apples. His art is characterized by a sense of humor and nature, where soft lines and lively shapes give the works a unique character.
