Amio Okkolin

Aimo Okkolin was a prominent Finnish glass artist and designer working at Riihimäen Lasi from the 1930s onwards. He is best known for his elegant and timeless art glass designs, which have become an important part of Finland's design heritage.

His work is characterized by soft, flowing shapes and crystal-clear glass of high craftsmanship. Okkolin mainly created vases, sculptural objects and ornaments, often in blue or transparent glass. One of his most iconic creations is the classic *"Tulppaani"* (Tulip) vase.

Aimo Okkolin's work for Riihimäen Lasi has become synonymous with Finnish glass elegance and his art glasses are now highly sought-after collectors' items worldwide.
