Taisto Kaasinen

Taisto Kaasinen (1918-1980) was a Finnish ceramicist and sculptor who worked at Upsala-Ekeby between 1952 and 1961. During this period he mainly created wall reliefs and sculptures, often with animal motifs such as fish, birds, zebras and oxen.

His works are characterized by powerful forms and expressive design, combining rustic elements with vibrant colours. Among his most famous works are wall tiles with fish motifs and sculptures depicting various animals.
