Göran Andersson

Göran Andersson (born April 2, 1935 in Lysekil, died June 19, 1989 in Stockholm) was one of the ceramists working at Uppsala Ekeby, where he created a number of unique and sought-after works. His work was often characterized by stylish forms and thoughtful glazing techniques. Andersson contributed to Uppsala Ekeby's rich tradition of Swedish ceramics and design, a period when the factory produced high quality crafts and utilitarian objects. His designs show the influences of Scandinavian modernism, combining functionality and aesthetics in a harmonious way.
