Edward Hall

Edward Hald was a pioneering Swedish glass artist and designer working at Orrefors Glassworks from 1917 onwards. He was one of the key figures behind Orrefors' international breakthrough and a master of both artistic and technically advanced glass.

Hald's work is characterized by elegance, purity of style and attention to detail. He was one of the pioneers of the classical grail technique, where color and motifs are enclosed in several layers of glass, and created poetic motifs often inspired by nature and mythology. He also designed stylish crystal utility glasses.

Edward Hald's designs for Orrefors Glasbruk have become a symbol of world-class Swedish glass art and his works are highly sought after in the world of art and design.
