Lars Hellsten

Lars Hellsten (born 1933) is a Swedish glass designer who started working at Orrefors in 1972. He is known for his powerful, sculptural forms and his work with solid crystal glass, often inspired by nature.

Among his best-known works are 'Eden', a series of organic shapes inspired by leaves and fruit, and 'Corona', a series where the refraction of light in the thick glass creates a glowing effect. He has also designed many award-winning objects and public decorations.

Hellsten's style is characterized by weight, elegance and a sense of movement in the glass, making his work both timeless and impressive.
