Edvin Öhrström

Edvin Öhrström was a prominent Swedish glass artist and sculptor working at Orrefors Glassworks from the 1930s to the 1950s. He was one of the pioneers of the golden age of Swedish glass art and played a central role in the development of new techniques and artistic expressions.

Öhrström was particularly known for developing, together with Vicke Lindstrand, the pioneering Grail and Ariel techniques - advanced glassblowing techniques in which color and pattern are encapsulated in the glass. His works are distinguished by their richness of detail, play of color and artistic depth.

Edvin Öhrström's art glass for Orrefors combines technical innovation with aesthetic brilliance and is today highly valued in both Swedish glass history and international collector design.
