Gunnar Cyrén

Gunnar Cyrén was an innovative Swedish designer and glass artist, working at Orrefors Glassworks from 1959. He was known for his playful design, technical skill and ability to combine art and function in a unique way.

Cyrén's work for Orrefors includes both exclusive art glass and utility glass, often with strong colors, gold elements and sculptural forms. Among his most famous series are the *Popglasen*, *Nobelservisen* and unique art objects in crystal and colored glass with elements of silver or gold.

Gunnar Cyrén's designs are characterized by innovation and character, and his works for Orrefors are today highly appreciated in both collector circles and modern glass art.
