Jan Johansson

Jan Johansson (born 1942) was a Swedish glass designer working at Orrefors from 1969 to 2002. He was particularly known for his work with optical glass and pure, sculptural forms in crystal.

His most famous series include 'Line', with its characteristic hand-drawn lines, and 'Corona', where he worked with cut refractions of light to create an optical effect. His style was often minimalist and elegant, with a clear Scandinavian design sensibility.

Johansson's work was appreciated for its precision and balance between simplicity and play of light, and he became one of Orrefors' leading glass designers during his time there.
