Olle Alberius

Olle Alberius (1926–1993) was a Swedish ceramicist, glass artist, and designer. After working at Rörstrand, he began working as a designer at Orrefors in 1971, where he remained active until the early 1990s. Alberius is particularly known for his elegant glass series, art glass, and sculptural objects featuring clean lines and timeless Scandinavian design. Among his most acclaimed works are Intermezzo, Merlin, Sarek, and several pieces of art glass in vivid colors and bold forms. His designs are characterized by exceptional craftsmanship, balance, and an innovative use of glass. Today, his works are highly sought after by collectors of Swedish art glass.
