Erkkitapio Siiroinen

Erkkitapio Siiroinen was a pioneering Finnish designer working at Riihimäen Lasi in the 1960s and 70s. He quickly became known for his bold, modern designs and his focus on color, form and function that challenged traditional glass art.

Siiroinen's work is characterized by powerful geometric shapes, strong colours and industrial aesthetics. In particular, he created vases, bowls and drinking glasses in pressed and blown glass - often in red, blue and green - with a design language that appealed to young and modern audiences.
