Vicke Lindstrand was a pioneering Swedish designer and glass artist who had a major impact on the development of art glass at Kosta Glassworks. During his time at Kosta, from the 1950s onwards, he created some of the most iconic glass works in Swedish design history.
His art is characterized by elegant forms, innovative techniques and a strong sense of movement and light. Lindstrand experimented with both colored and clear glass, often with enclosed bubbles, engravings or abstract motifs. With his modern and artistic expression, Vicke Lindstrand contributed to making Kosta internationally known and his works are today highly sought after by collectors of Swedish art glass.
