Ingeborg Lundin

Ingeborg Lundin (1921-1992) was a Swedish glass designer working at Orrefors from 1947 to 1971. She was one of the first female designers at the glassworks and played an important role in the development of Orrefors' thin and elegant glass design.

Her most famous work is "Äpplet" (1955), a large, spherical glass cup in thin, mouth-blown glass that has become an icon of Swedish glass art. She often worked with engraved, optical and painted glass, and her style is characterized by lightness, soft shapes and a poetic feel.

Lundin's work was groundbreaking and helped to establish Swedish design internationally, especially during the great success of Orrefors in the 1950s.
