Helena Tynell (1918-2016) was a Finnish glass artist and designer, known for her work at Riihimäki Glassworks. She created both utility and art glass, often with soft, organic shapes and a playful use of light and color.
Among her most famous works are the 'Aurinkopullo' (Sun Bottle), an iconic glass bottle with rounded shapes, as well as various lamps and vases with textured surfaces. Her designs are characterized by a warm and natural aesthetic, where the play of light in the glass is the main focus.
