Bo Fajans

Bo Fajans was a Swedish ceramics factory operating in Gävle between 1874 and 1967. The factory specialized in faience, a type of earthenware with glaze, and became known for its decorative and functional ceramics.
During the 20th century, Bo Fajans employed several skilled designers, including:
- Arthur Percy, who created elegant vases and dishes in vivid glazes.
- Berit Ternell, known for her stylish utilitarian objects and tableware.
- Olof Thörnell, who designed playful figures and stylized forms.
In the 1960s, demand for faience declined, and Bo Fajans closed down in 1967. Today, their ceramics are sought after by collectors, especially items from the 1940s and 1950s.
